I recently bought this NV scope to use for shooting rats. I had a problem when using a red flashlight mounted rig as the rats would get nervous and move around and leave when lit up. I went out the other night and it performed very nicely as to sight picture. The main problem for me was I saw no rats to shoot. Don't know if the change of seasons from summer to fall is affecting the rats or what. Anyway the ATN unit is quite heavy to me at 2.3 lbs and it is best to have a bench or some kind of support to get accurate shots. The sight is easy t even at night as you can feel the locations of the buttons for selecting and making adjustments. It does appear if you change power or distance on the unit you must adjust the front focus to get the clearest sight picture. Even more it seems to an optical scope. This would not be a problem if you had a constant group of rats in one location. I also was powering on and off the unit to save batteries walking around looking for rats. Somewhat of a hassle but once again if you had a lot of targets in one place you would be keeping the unit powered up. Here is a couple of videos with me setting up the sight and its night time sight picture. Bill

FYI the audio is faint because I was trying to be quite. I'm hunting of course. Sorry for the lack of volume.

Thank you for posting this. I have been eyeing this sight for awhile, but after reading about the bugs in the software was afraid to pull the trigger. Looks like they got it working.
I'm running Gen 1 NV on my Mrod, eliminating mice and rats, and this looks much better.
I may have missed it, how long is run time day and night approximately?
