I'm trying to figure out what scope to work well with the Benjamin Discovery I have on order. I have it narrowed down to these two:
UTG-3-12X44-Compact-Mil-dot-Colors/dp/B004KRA4YG/ref=sr_1_6?s=sports-and-fitness&ie=UTF8&qid=1442352573&sr=1-6&keywords=leaper+air+rifle+scope
UTG-3-9X50-Locking-Hunter-Sunshade/dp/B00ENFCRNQ/ref=sr_1_4?s=sports-and-fitness&ie=UTF8&qid=1442352761&sr=1-4&keywords=leaper+air+rifle+scope
My biggest question is how much will the 44 vs 50 matter? Do any of you have either of these scopes and can give a honest opinion on them? I'm leaning toward the 3-12x44 Simply because of the extra 3x Zoom as well as the Side wheel AO adjustment.
Or alternatively, does anyone have any other recommendations? Trying to stay right about the $125 price point.
Note: I can't post external links? So you will have to put amazon in front of the links...

Don't have either, I noticed the first choice is a 30mm tube and the second choice is a 1" tube so make sure you get the right size rings for the one you choose.
The larger objective scope will give you a larger field of view and a brighter image, the 44mm with the 30mm tube will be a smaller field of view but will also have a brighter image because of the 30mm tube. The 30mm tube scope should also be stronger than the 1" tube scope. Side focus is nice too.

I have a Hawke Varmit 2.5 x 10 on mine with side focus, It has 1/2 mil dots as well.

Either will work but I would go for the 3-12x44. The compact size looks good on the Disco.
If you are going to get a 3-9, you don't really need the 50mm. Get the 3-9x40mm. Leapers also makes a 3-12x40.
In the 50mm size, I use the Leapers 6-24x50. I like it too.
All are in your price range. A little more and you could also get the 4-16x44 compact.
