Title: 2250xt initial fps plus mod fps
Post by: Geoff on September 08, 2015, 09:34:26 PM
Stock at 70 degrees I shot 3 CPHP's and averaged 538 fps

I installed an 18" barrel, replacing the 14.5" one
I installed a extended stainless steel bolt probe and probe handle
I installed the crosmods endcap to allow larger co2 bottles or a ninja HPA tank

Average speeds at 68 degrees (basement getting colder) 563 fps

I added the LDC adapter / muzzle break on the end and fps jumped to 613

I was using a 12g cart to test the last 2 speeds.  I have found that the larger co2 tanks give a few more FPS over the 12g carts

I need to get my 12oz and 20oz co2 tanks filled in order to test with the larger tanks to see if speeds bump a little as has been my experience.

Once I do that my next step is to get a ninja type tank, regulated to 850-1000 psi and test the speeds.

Good to see you got the adapter.

Not sure why the jump with the LDC, that shouldn't change anything.

My 2250XT has a 9oz bottle and I am getting an average of 610FPS with 14.3CPHP at about 85 degrees. My valve is enlarged a bit and the TP is poly tube. Barrel is 14.5"
I have a bottle set at about 950PSI (iirc) and it is getting 625FPS with the same pellets.
I wanted to set the HPA bottle so that it would shoot just about the same in the winter as it does on CO2 in the summer.

thank you for the numbers.  I would be happy with 610-650 fps range.

I will have to think about a poly tube for the TP.  I do have a boss valve around here somewhere that I could try as well.
