Title: 2240, interesting experience.
Post by: DavidS on September 08, 2015, 07:47:46 PM
I just had an interesting experience with my 2240.   I was just plinking the pressure out of a powerlet, and after shot 56 (I was counting), it suddenly leaked down to empty.   New powerlet, one hammer hit to puncture new powerlet, and it is holding (so far).

Is this by design, or just a fluke?

Most likely the hammer spring had enough strength to open the valve stem when you got down to that little co2 pressure.

Ah ok, and duh.  I do have a 2100 hammer spring in it.

Typically people stop shooting before this happens due to the drop in velocity, but it is common. Nothing to worry about
