My POI keeps moving side to side. I want to move my rear barrel band back to just in front of the pressure gauge like Ribbonstone did. How far do I need to take the gun down? Do I need to de-gas it first?
I know I need to remove the stock and scope, and then remove the sleeve that the rear sight used to be mounted in. How tough is that? Anything I need to know?
Thanks,
Ron.

While I like my solution, I'd still try a 2nd barrel band first. One near the muzzle and one near the end of the forearm. No mods really needed for this trial. If that helps, can consider doing the inletting and moving the 2nd band into the stock.

On my first Disco I had a little of this, cured it with a small drop of silicone sealer placed under front site against air tube. Can still remove easily if it doesn't work for you, and it will let materials flex but take most of the wiggle out of the barrel when shooting. No additional barrel band needed.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I've already done that. I have the original barrel band clamped down just in front of the stock. I installed a second barrel band, and shimmed it, out towards the muzzle and just behind the TKO.
I'm thinking that maybe moving the rear band back will better stabalize the barrel where it goes into the action? I've read you guys talking about the fairly weak connection there...
