Title: Crosman & Daisy, go Together
Post by: DavidS on August 29, 2015, 08:33:41 AM
Both Crosman and Daisy make great air rifles.  Crosman provides us with the great .22 cal hunting rifles, while Daisy gives us great precision .177 cal airrifles, as well as good .177 cal hunting rifles.  It seems logical that one should have both.

Daisy.
While Daisy for there start making youth starters, now they make the powerline and Avanti series' of adult airrifles.

The Powerline series of adult airrifles give us great plinkers and .177 cal hunters.  With the 880 being a good plinker and hunter, the 901 being the equal of the 880 in a newer style, and the 953 being the best plinker around (the 953 is based on a ten meter target rifle).

The Avanti series gives us some very good competion quality airrifles at good prices.  These will hold there own in any ten meter completion, and do pretty good out to 30 yarsds for Target shooting.

Crosman.
Crosman gives the good .22 cal hunters, that is how they !ade there name with the 101.  Crosman is also the goto for pcp and CO2, they made great strides in CO2 a good time ago.

Look at the 140/1400, the 2260, 2289, 2200, 1300, 130, 1322, 392, Disco, M-Rod, all great .22 cal hunters.  That is where Crosman fills its space.

SUM
It seems that the products of these two American giants go hand in hand.  Daisy fills one swet of needs while Crosman rounds it out (or vice a versa).

Crosman : the 13XX's and the XX40's , and now the PCP's 1701P, 1720's , PRods...........

Don't forget the guns sold under different names but are owned by Crosman and Daisy too.  Benjamin and Winchester air guns are great guns.

I agree. We were all introduced to these as kids. When you are a child, you are not brand loyal. You will play with anybody regardless of race, creed, moral compass or even social status.
I will admit that i am a Beeman snob. BUT..... when it comes to these two companies, i have a soft spot that runs 40 years long.
