With $350-400 to spend on a scope, what brand and model would you suggest and why.
Anyone have any experience with either of the FX scopes?
Thanks ahead of time. ;D

Depends on specs which effects price. I really like Hawke sidewinder. I think about $430 for 6-20x44. Cheaper for lower power. Very well made, clear glass.

PCP or Springer?  Hunting/plinking or precision target work? Do you need illuminated reticle? A lot of options out there, could you be more specific? ;)

Optisan VIPER in there 4-16x50 SCB is IMO the best bargain out there in a full feature scope with great glass !!
@ $350 from Treiner outdoors who is a GTA vendor BTW  ;)

Sorry for not giving more details on what I was looking for.
Called AOA yesterday and he informed me of a new scope that is out from Hawke Air Max 30 series.  A  Hawke AirMax 30 4-16x50@389.99 is on its way to me.  It will go on my X200 and when I get my HW97K back from tunning will transfear the PA 4-14x44 to the 97.
Thanks for the replies and still learning about the details needed in a post.

I have on of those, use it on my R11 right now. Pretty good glass. Reticle is nice and thin. If for some reason it doesn't pan out for you, the scope that Scott (Motorhead) suggested is a dandy as well. Reticle is a little thicker, and the glass is real nice too!

After going through two fairly expensive, name brand scopes on my HW-90, I put on a Hawke Endurance 30mm, 4-16x.  I like the scope, and so far so good. I have also slightly reduced the power of the HW-90.  IMHO the HW-90 was overpowered right out of the box, and I could not get any accuracy out of it until I reduced the power.
