Saturday was the first day of opening squirrel season here in Ga. So I took my .22lr and decided to go hunting to a local state own place. I saw plenty of wildlife. From hogs, deer, rattlesnakes, bear, and other creatures of the forest. I managed to sneak up on a couple of squirrels and take one. I noticed that the gun was rather loud and the squirrels would magically disappear. ::) ::)
So today I decided to give the old gamo a try. I didn't buy this gamo, but rather it was given to me. The guy left it in the rain over night, and it was eaten over with rust. I had a aftermarket gamo springer and seals. So i brought it home, opened it up, and began to polish everything. Once everything was polished reinstalled. I put everything back together and got it sighted it in with 10.5 grain pellets. I was amazed at the accuracy and the cocking cycle of the gun.
I took these three today all in the same tree and within 30 min of each other.

Thanks guys. Very surprised with this gun

Totally excellent! My Gamo is so accurate it is almost unfair to use it on squirrels.
On another note, there are hogs on state land there? Pretty easy to find? One of my Army buddies moved to Georgia and I was hoping to hog hunt with him.

There are hogs on state land here. I dont like hunting hogs on state land because I can not do what I want to do. For instance, its small game season....I can only go out there with .22lr .17 hmr shotguns and airguns. Well when bow season comes in I can go only out there with bows. The state wants to get rid of hogs, but yet they dont really allow you to do it.

That's the same thing here. In fact it is ILLEGAL to hunt hogs as a general rule. Strange eh?

It is kind of silly here in TN. I believe on state land you can only hunt hogs during rifle deer season. In the future their may be more hogs than squirrels on these lands.
