Title: Ok... last question... Air Tanks
Post by: Rattus58 on August 14, 2015, 10:00:40 PM
I have an Air Tank. Is a SCUBA regulator ok for filling an air gun or are there special hoses and fittings that I should be looking at?

I know... kinda being a pest... I apologize... but some of the terminology you read online is a little beyond me at this stage of MY GAME.

Mahalo and much Aloha,

You need a Din 300 or Scuba Yoke  Assembly  depending on the fitting on the Scuba tank.

HAve you watched any of the filling from a HPA tank such as this one?

Thank you.  I just talked to the gentleman on the phone and need to clear up a few things here before he can recommend the exact right system for me.

One issue I think is going to be that the scuba shop can only fill to 3000 psi. I don't know what this means for me with these two guns.

Much aloha,

Tom,

I would look more towards the SCBA tanks 88 cubic foot if possible. Your tank is normally one of the most expensive pieces of equipment for a marauder, etc set-up. A brand new Whole Hog from Air hog will run you around 780 bucks brand new! But then that tank is good for 15 years so it is one of those save up sacrifices that is well worth it in the long run and gives you 4500psi on hand whenever you need it which is plenty of fills! You can also find good deals at times on ebay but be very careful and ensure that the tank is still serviceable before buying!

I've looked at those too... so far I can't find anyone who can fill more than 3000 psi. So free is free and I'm looking for what i can do till I can set up a situation where you use one of those shoebox or a booster pumps. Fire Departments can fill to 6000 psi.

Hi Tom
If you can't find a place that can fill a scba tank you may want to consider the benjimin carbon fiber  4500 psi tank or the ninja tank 4500 tank.
They are smaller but a paintball shop should be able to fill them.i would ask around before ordering them.
Hope this helps

Find out what his days off are (generally Friday, Saturday and Sunday, or anytime after 3PM) and take some food with you next time you go. It doesn't hurt them. I don't understand why he won't do it?

The new, younger, guy doesn't want the 'responsibility'.
