Title: Daisy 840 power valve

Does anyone ever retro-fitted a pot metal power valve into the newer 840 with the plastic valve? Does it even fit, or the innards have changed? I really like that small rifle, it's accurate and fun. I'm not quite sure about the durability of the plastic valve, and I'd like to keep that rifle for as long as possible.
