I love my IZH-60 and I wanted to put a scope on it, so I did. Problem was the plastic dovetail ways were soft and not particularly straight.
So last Sat I said what the heck I have time to mess around, I'm going to make a receiver that eliminates that dovetail problem.
How to do it? Well first lets use aluminum, the only wear surface is where the bolts slides and that is mostly o-ring against the receiver.
Second of all lets extend the receiver 1" to allow mounting the scope further away from the shooter providing more eye relief.
The barrel is inserted into the receiver 1" more than normal, so overall barrel and gun length remain stock.
Third lets rotate the loading port 90 degrees so you don't have to try to load under the scope.
So thats what I did, finished it today and although is it still dieseling it looks like it is going to be very accurate.
