Now that I have my AT44-10 .22 and BT65 exactly where I want them... The AT44 shooting under an inch @ 100yards the BT65 also... Now I have moved on to the BT65 carnivore .30cal to see where I can go with this rifle.... I know that 100ftlb I can get no problem, but I am also looking at another rout thanks to Air Superiority Products who sent me that .30cal. We are having a regulator made especially for it. I will work to attain 95ftlb regulated.. Looking for a extreme combo of accuracy and power. A 2-3fps ES over a full clip is also what I would like maybe a few shots over. We shall see. If the reg does not work the way that I plan which I do not see why not then I will go for the unregulated plan and shoot the 50gr JSB @ 950fps and call it a day.

I was hoping to see the carnivore come up to canada to undertake a similar project. Good luck, I'll be watching this one . By the way how long of a pellet will the mag take?

Denis I will measure when I get home..

Baxter, Jorge is working on mine and you won't believe the numbers he's getting. He's going to post about the mods he's done, but it's getting 100 FPE for 14 shots with 14 fps ES.

Yes thats what I knew it could do, just had not got around to the .30cal as of yet, So what I am thinking is 95ftlb regulated should be no problem. Thats why I like the Hatsans so much, they are very tunable! If I can not get a 100yard .600ctc with the .30 I will be surprised... 14 shots unregulated @ 100ftlb that is awesome

It sure is impressive to see such a low es at that power . Gonna try contacting the importers up here to see if the shroud can be removed and shipped up here. Wish me luck , I sure would like to build a .257 cal from one.

Yes they love heavy pellets
-
Hey Jorge,
Please include many pictures of what you did to the valve :D
Thanks .......... Kirk

Looking forward to it!

Looking for choices in .30cal pellets....I pushed a JSB 44.75gr pellet thru the barrel, I did not like the almost non detailed rifling marks, I think that they need to be a bit more pronounced. At the velocity that I think that the pellet will be traveling there is not enough rifling on the pellet.
-
I've only tried the JSB 50 gr in mine. I did buy some 44 gr and will try them when I get the gun back.
-
I was thinking about the Daystate pellets but need to shoot the JSB's before jumping to conclusions.

I wish it was just the valve that needed to be modded! I'll finish up the post as I have time. I want to make sure I capture the details so others can duplicate my numbers. Not easy to get 100 FPE with just 110 BAR of air...
-
Hey Jorge,
Anything you can post would be great ;).
100 FPE from 110 bar, almost sounds like it violates the law of physics ;D

The crazy part is the efficiency... ~1.36 FPE/ci! Again, I'll post more details but here is the latest shot string:
Starts at 175 BAR, ends at 110 BAR. JSB 50gr pellets.
Mag 1- 948/958/956/951/959/960/956
Mag 2- 962/949/950/947/952/948/950

;D Thats an 103ftlb 14 shots! Ouch! So what do you think about the BT65 Platform ;D Those numbers are insane for the price point! and very minimal work! Good job on that there G
