After waiting over a month for a HW95 from AoA (back order) :(, I ordered a used HW90 from them. They sent a chony test showing 809 fps for 16gr. The iron sights were not installed right and a few screws were loose. No big deal. Fixed in minutes. First three test shots I did my typical left hand cock. After three I was done with that arm. I switched to my right arm for a few, better but still very hard. It cocks smooth but all the effort is required from start to finish. I later found that a two arm method works better and allows you to shoot many times. I think I did about 50 shots this method. Yeah it's a work out still, but you can keep going for an hour. Trigger as sent is ok, a little long on the first stage but the second stage is crisp and easy. I'm sure a minor adjustment can address that. I' surprised that it has a bell ring when fired. No rattles or crunch, just a ding. It kicks good, not as hard as my 44mag carbine, but more than a .223 AR. I'm not very accurate with it yet. I'm sure that takes practice. As far as power, I believe it. I used 18gr HN crow magnum's and they ripped a 1" hole through a pop can. I've never seen that from a pellet gun. Typically it's just a clean small hole in and out not total destruction. It looked more like 9mm hollow point hit it. ;D
The sound is not too loud. However, your neighbors will hear it. I'm going to practice a few days then kill these coons that come by every night. 8)

Have fun Chris. You have now learned one of the primary reasons for combining air rifling and weight training. When you are ready for a real workout move up to an Eliminator or a Crow Magnum.

I better eat more Wheaties for an Elimitator with 59lb cocking effort. But at what this one is putting out at 23.26 FPE I think it will do the job. Can't wait to show up my brothers TX200 with raw power. Plus I'll get to laugh when other friends try to cock it. ;)
I thought this was my weight training? Going to try a 2x4 penetration test today. Might walk the yard and look for bunny wabbits too.

Coffee cans are fun to shoot through. So are 1 x 4s.

Coon is in season???????????????????
-
Critters like coons are always in season. Year round, no bag limit. Licence to hunt is only required on public lands. They keep eating my chicken feed and need to go. Other animals do have seasons like turkey, foul, ducks, deer.

Very cool. Ohio has good, common sense, nuisance wildlife laws. http://codes.ohio.gov/oac/1501%3A31-15-03 (http://codes.ohio.gov/oac/1501%3A31-15-03)
That motivated me to double check my own state of NY, and I found this useful chart: http://www.dec.ny.gov/animals/81531.html#2 (http://www.dec.ny.gov/animals/81531.html#2)
Thanks!

Chrony results:
Crossman Premier Hollow Point 14.3gr 832.1, 834, 813.2 Max FPE 22.09
HN Crow Mag 18gr 692, 690, 699, 702 max FPE 19.8
HN Hunter Extreme 19gr 735, 730, 726, 721, 727 max FPE 22.5
HN Baracuda 21gr 670.4, 672.7, 672.6, 662, 665 FPE 21.06
Chony F1 at 4ft away.
Best performer was the HN hunter Extreme, closer FPS and highest energy. New scope is here, back to accuracy testing. I'd have to say the FPE is really good. not many .22's can get over 20 FPE.
If these numbers are not inline let me know.
