Title: CAN SOMEONE LINK A PUMP HOSE WITH M10X1 THREADS (MALE) ON ONE SIDE& FEMAl FOSTRR
Post by: zerodrop on July 21, 2015, 11:12:46 AM
been having trouble using a pump i just got 2 weeks ago or so

its a gen 2 pump from china that will go to 4500psi with fairly low workout

its been killing me on fittings and the like tho, first i had to find fitting to fill , now 2 days after i get the fitting my hose blows a seal on the hose to metal end coupling

so i need a hose at least 20 inches  with input side being m10x1 male and output side being male foster like a benjamin, or fdpcp would utilize for fill

sorry to keep having to ask here, but i am trying to avoid damaging the pump or myself

i have been searching online but those i have found do not specify the presure rating (i will be using to fill to 4500)

thank you in advance

Not sure what you are pumping to 4500 but here is a set up that will work to 3500

First the original M10 male to 1/8" NPT adapter I linked you to

Then here is a 36" 4500psi rated hose with 1/8" npt on both ends

Then here is the Female foster fitting to attach to the 1/8"npt hose

OK then why not just replace the hose?

Also - what size "buddy bottle"? I ONCE pumped a 48CI alum bottle to 3K and it took 4 or 5 days of pumping. You won't be pumping a 4500 bottle many times, or you'll never be shooting

Hose blew a seal or the Female Quick Disconnect blew or lost its' O ring? I have never had to replace one but read they are size -010 and cost about  60 cents at hardware stores.

benjamin buddy bottle

want to see if ill use it...chances are ill only pump it a few times

the hose is getting replaced but since i have to replace the hose im hoping id find one that did not require a mess of fitting (which in my mind are just places for potential problems

>>>>> the hose ends with a fitting that seems to be press fitted onto hose, or maybe glued, i have no idea, that is where leak is coming from....leak starts at 2600 psi or so

If it is a Gen II flying dragons pump from Mike Melick Just give him a call and he can hook you up with a new hose assy and if you bought it from him it should be free as it would still be under warranty.

Might want to be careful on hoses. I got a 36" 4500psi rated hose with 1/8" npt on both ends and it blew with just 800psi CO2. Started as a BIG bubble then pop, scared the well heck out of me.

it happened to me with two hoses so far n6crv, first went defect at the junction of 1/8 npt and hose itself, second one rated at 4500 psi chinesse (not from flying dragon, from amazon) blew out at 2500 psi and near gave me a heart attack, thank god for the spring over hose

all in all i finaly got everything working and fitting for each fill device. it has been one of the most time consuming and costly parts of my airgun addiction
so far without pump, the buddy bottle and the fittings hoses are running over $275 so far and i paid very little for my used benji bottle

also i should point out for record, every single fitting i ordered from amazon from china stunk up the place bad
all were leaking well before or around halfway point under pressure

i think alot were actualy co2 rated fittings sold under 4500 psi rating
i doubt ill be buying fitting, hoses, or parts from there in near future directly

on the bright side with paintball going hpa slowly, it seems more usa amazon sellers are hpa items from usa

BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE ANYONE LOOKING FOR FITTINGS........JUST BUY THE REALLY EXPENSIVE AIR VENTURI FITTING, SAVES MONEY IN LONG RUN
