Title: I finally own a big bore
Post by: pepegraves on July 10, 2015, 07:30:10 AM
It's a Sam Yang Recluse and I rec
eived it yesterday! I don't have it scoped yet but I did take 2 shots with her; one without the LDC on and one with it on....  was not mrntally prepared for how loud this rifle is without a moderayor on it lol... but, with the moderatir on it sounds a little like my Hatsan AT44 QE 25 ...its a beauty and I am pleasantly surprised that its not as heavy as it looks . Actually iys quite light

A lot of people knock down the Sam Yangs and Sumatras because the way they look in pictures, but usually when someone gets one in their hands it's like,...."my ho my, this is nice" :) :)

I kind of like how they look. Never held one, but I'm sure I'd like it even more if I did.

Both Sam Yangs and Sumatras are much smaller when they are in your hands than the appear in pictures :)

i AGREE 100%.  It wasn't until my buddy bought and brought along a 909 single tube and i was like, "MAN, THIS THING LOOKS WAAAAAY BETTER IN PERSON AND ITS FRIGGEN LIGHTER THAN IT LOOKS"

I am very impressed with the accuracy out to 52 yds...thats how long my back yard is and, really that's about 10 yds farther than I would feel comfortable taking a shot at at "big" game...But I can see that this rifle could easily get some good groups out to 100 and maybe even 150 yds if I do my part.

I guess what I'm saying is that I'm happy with the gun, overall...It looks great, not too heavy, shoots great....When my friends see it they are iin awe... There is a whole lot more I could say about the Recluse bbut, I'm realizing I don't typing anymore  :o   ....So just know that if you were on the fence about getting one of these rifles, have no fear, it's a great one
