Title: Is it even made for a QB78?
Post by: N6CRV on July 09, 2015, 06:45:49 PM
Hello, I want to bulk feed my QB78. I have it so I can feed off a large bottle of CO2 with a hose. That is not that convenient to use. What I'm looking for and can not find is a adaptor that will screw on the main tube of the QB and let me screw a 9oz bottle on. So it would be very close to the QB79. I can not find any that will just screw on instead of the cap for the CO2 cartages on a QB78. Is it even made? My other thought is to screw a one-way QD on the QB78 cap and bulk fill then disconnect the hose. Is there any reason that having liquid CO2 in the main tube would hurt anything?
Thanks!

At present, there is no tank block that will allow you to fit a 9 oz. tank directly to the QB78 using the threads on the front of the tube.... A reversed block is a possibility, but would require shortening the stock to allow the tank to fit up under the main tube, coming back towards the trigger, and may be available in the near future....

At the present time, using a bulk fill is the easiest, or simply tether the gun to a remote CO2 tank.... Liquid CO2 in the main tube (from a bulk fill) is really only a problem if you fill it very full, or shoot uphill (eg. into a tree), when gravity will force liquid into the valve.... This is not damaging to the gun, but is wasteful of CO2.... If you tether, and the tank is below the gun and upright, this is not an issue, the main tube will be full of gaseous CO2 only....

Didn't get any responses for help to ID this, but I took the chance and bought it. Now I have it in person I can see the label says "Maxzbulk."   Unfortunately no longer made.

Could contact jezx on the CAF....Ask him about his QB/22xx reversible block.

Good guy to deal with, has a solid reputation on the CAF.
