Hi All
I have a BSF Media which I just put a synthetic Breech Seal in. The question I have is the Grove that the breech seal goes into is not the same depth. I inverted the seal and shaved it with a razor blane to make it level with the breech. I then turned it over and it seems to work. It at least passes the tissue test. Does anybody know if the grove should be uneven like that?
Thanks
Dick Tracey

Whats A BSF Media? If you mean a BSA then you'll need to to the Air gun Gate with you question.

HW bought out BSF. Basis for the R series.
Your original breech seal was synthetic or leather? (This is a rifle, yes?) If you are sealing OK and don't have a droop issue with part of the seal standing too proud, I would not worry about it. The groove depth isn't exact on some guns. If you want to level it, you might try a bit of tissue, etc, under the lower part. But, again, if it's working well, I wouldn't bother. How about a picture?

I will take Pics tomorrow and post.

Hi all,
Tomorrow finely got here.

Original seal was leather and I got replacement leather seal from supplier of parts for BSF in england. I decided to get a synthetic seal for Beeman and picked one that fit most .22 Airrifles. That is the one shown here. The close up of the cut seal shows a little rub mark but everything seems to work fine. The only other problem I have is mounting a scope. The scope mount is the original that came on the gun. I have mounted three different scope that have came from other airrifles but they shoot to high. So far the red dot is working very o well. I am planning to get a chrono soon to so I can check the speed.

Just a idea but if all scopes shoot too high maybe you can get a drooper mount and put it on backwards. Barrel must be high. ;D

BSF, although old, is a new one on me. Looks cool though. I like old stuff.
