Ok so not sure if this is the proper gate but here's my query...
Is it possible to mount short (i.e. 2") picatinny rails to the front of of my Remington Tyrant using the two foreward stock screws? Obviously I'd have to get longer screws, but my question is really would it structurally weaken the stock or in any other way compromise the rifle. Also I'm guessing it'll probably void the warranty. Any help or insight would be appreciated.

I dont think a single screw would be very sturdy. What do you want to mount ?.
If I wanted to mount something on the side I would likely machine the stock so it has a flat surface and screw and epoxy a rail on.

Basically I'm trying to at least have sling mounts and maybe a bipod or flashlight attached without poking holes in it just yet. While I'm pretty handy and inventive, I'm hesitant and maybe even a little nervous about starting mods on my new (and only) rifle right now. Haven't even sighted the "dang" thing in fully or taken more than 30 shots with it.
Well thanks for the info, I was kinda looking for a less invasive way but that sounds simple enuff, and I'll take it under advisment.

The remington tyrant is just a chineese b19 with a thingy (not sure what else to call it) on the barrel I have the same axact gun qith a standard barrel and mine's called a firepower fp1, anyway you might have better luck on the Chinese airgun gate just call it a sunthetic stock b19 variant. ;D ;D. Also for a sling you could try a shotgun/ muzzleloader style that just loops around the barrel and stock, or tye on parachord loops.

Thanks a bunch, this info is exactly what I needed to start with

Your welcome! Also is that an actual (*^%/suppressor on the barrel or just a tube?

Apparently both, it's plastic, which is a major let down but it does shoot pretty quietly, I'm planning on making a metal one or changing barrels to a .22 cal very soon (maybe both). Also going to finally add picatinny rails to the sides of the fore-end and soft bed it with sorbothane once I finish building my spring compressor. So pics of the Mods will come soon I hope.

If its a B19 you can get stocks and barrels from Crosman.

Any idea if the GRT-III is the best trigger upgrade, or is there something better?

the best and SAFEST, period.

If the tyrant is the same as the Express, the GRTIII won't work.

Apparently the Tyrant is in fact a B19 variant and even Remington doesn't have much info on them. Looks like it's gonna be a limited run too. The only info of value I've gotten has been from the fine gents here on this forum and a buttload of my own research that was only possible thanks to the input/feedback that I got here.
So this weekend I'm packing the gf off to her friends house and doing a full tune and soft bedding on both my rifles.
Thanks to ALL of you guys
