I have a TF99 22 cal set up for hunting. The LOP and barrel have been shortened to fit me. It was converted to a gas spring. I shoot it at 35 yards and it is accurate and consistent. I haven't tried it farther as I don't have the room and I figured this would be my hunting range.
It shoots 730 FPS with CHP 14.3 pellets. If I size the skirt larger the velocity jumps to 780 and I can't see any loss of accuracy. Since I will only use this rifle as a hunter I don't mind sizing the skirts as it won't need that many for a hunt. So my question is there such a tool to flare out the skirts?

Have flared, smoothed the skirts on JSBs just before shooting using the round end of the bolt handle on old Benji's and Sheridans.

I was using the plastic end of a ballpoint pen. The pellet head has land marks and pellets cut a round hole in a target. I bought 5.53 head pellets and they made no FPS increase. Just wondered if there was a tool.

I remembered this one. Not sure if it is still around or anyone has used one.

get yourself a 1/4" RCA jack

"Swizzle Stick" ... A drink stirring stick made of plastic.
Get one at your favorite pub. ;)
The ball end is easily reshaped to any form that suits your pellet skirt.

I use domed cap nuts on the end of my seating tools.

I made tool using archery field tips.
I use them before every FT match.
Doesn't help me, though. :-\

Look up a doming tool. They usually come in a package ranging from very small up to larger sizes.
