Well, she's back together and still driving tacks! Smoother, and quieter. Not sure if the power improved or not but she feels as good as right before the spring broke. No detonation! ! No smoke. Pretty easy fix, and allowed me to put a new piston seal on. I did have difficulty putting the safety back in the trigger housing and accidently knocked a pin from the trigger assembly into a box of plumbing parts. Found it and everything seems perfect. Now just need to send my octaine 22 in for warranty repair and my utg scope replacement shipped yesterday. Soon I'll be whole again! Thanks everyone for all your help!!

Glad to hear the Talon is working so well. What's wrong with the octane?

Dan, well the octaine was just fine, I was having issues with the utg scope I had bought for it so I sent it back. I put a nikon scope on and was sighting it in . Then after I thought I had it zeroed, I went to load another pellet and heard a sliding noise as I lifted it up to cock it! I took the stock off and there was a cylinder sliding up and down the gas ram. So I looked at the schematic and it looks to be a piston sleve! ! I guess it came loose from the piston cup. Umarex said they are only crimped together. To me, a rifle that hits as hard as this should have the sleeve and cup either welded together or made from 1 piece. Needless to say it lost most of its power! I'd fix it my self except 1, it would void the warranty and 2, they didn't have the part! So hopefully they will just send me a new one. I've only had it since Feb this year. Hasn't been a good month for my equipment lol. But I atleast have my talon back working better than ever..
