My QB58 with GRT trigger was working fine for some time. The seer started not catching occasionally on me, so I thought maybe I adjusted the GRT too much. When I turned the screw on the trigger it helped for that shot, but then went back to not catching.
It looked like where the seer grabs had slightly chipped which I felt made it harder for the seer to catch. I tore her down, filed that spot flat again (figuring I may lose a little FPS from it) and reassembled.
Seer still not catching so I thought I would toss it out here and see if someone had another idea for me. I could try ordering the QB57 kit in the hopes the compression tube is the same size, however before I toss out the $$$ for a maybe I thought to ask here.
The QB58 is a side lever, kinda like a mini RWS48.
Thanks for ideas on what to check for

The fat pin used in a QB58 will reduce the sear engagement too much. There are some intermediate links designed to work with a fat pin or you can grind a small depression in the existing intermediate link (where it contacts the fat pin). With a sufficient size depression, you can have a long first stage for safety, with a second stage for a clean break.

Thank you for the reply Scot
The thing is, everything was working fine for months after I installed the GRT trigger. I will have to tear it down again, send it out to MM or get rid of it. I like the design so getting rid of it is not a likely option.

You said it was working fine but I bet that it did not have a proper 1st stage draw. If it was like mine, it was on the edge of firing all the time (not safe). Any additional wear and mine would not have been able the latch. The new/modified intermediate link gave it more engagement. Long 1st stage for safety and adjusted for clean break on the 2nd stage.

tigger from a qb88, b19 and others will fit iirc. I bought a extra trigger group, but don't remember from where. I would replace the two sears/levers to be safe, they should have been surface hardened.

You are correct on the almost no first stage. I will check the link you provided. Thank you

I managed to locate the OEM trigger for my QB58 and installed it. Same problem with the seer. Oh well, time to decide on repair or get rid of it.
Just thought I would update. IF I find out the problem I will post it in case others run into this issue.

Hi Scott ... do you have any suggestions where a person could go to get a replacement fat pin and an intermediate link?
John

I took a photo to show what is happening. Maybe someone has another idea before I start filing on the part mentioned in the link provided.
I don't want to shrink the image to make it easier to see where I am pointing in the image. Here is a link to it.
If someone has another idea as to why it wont stay cocked, I would appreciate a suggestion. thanks
