New to AG. How long has the RX2 w/gas piston be a round?? glassman98

They have been around for a few years, they started off as the RX and went to the RX1 and then went to the RX 2, this the latest version its an up grade of the other 2 models, May I ask why you want or have an RX2?

Since 1990 essentially. HW used then the Model # equalling the year (approximately) that it was released. Thus the HW-80 (Beeman R-1) was released in 1980 in Europe. The R-1 was not released here until 1981 because of delays getting the stock sorted out (according to the Beeman R-1 Book by Tom Gaylord). The HW-85 (R-10) is 1985. Thus the HW-90 (Beeman RX) was released in 1990 ish. I don't know when the change/upgrade was made to the RX-1. Those changes were incorporated into the HW-90 with no new model designation. I purchased my RX-1 96 or 97 so I know it was before then.

Mark 611,
I just got one two wks ago. From what I read, it is one *(&^ of a gun. The workmanship is great. I am now trying to find what to feed it. If you have one or know someone who does, what pellet are you using. Being new to AG's, this is one *(&^ of a learning curve. At going on 70 yrs. old, I hope I have the time left.
I really like it. Cocking is stiff, but do able even for me at only 5' 5" @ 145 lbs.
Thanks for your input. glassman98

Well you might just try CPHP's I hear some people have reall good luck with them and its a cheap way to start!

I'll second the CPHP's,,, they shoot great in the four cheapies I have.
The RWS line is also a very good place to start.
Sample packs are also available from some manufacturers.
Although I haven't tried that many brands of pointed pellet, the ones I have perform dismally in my guns.
