Title: UTG 4-16x44 accushot ???
Post by: Anylizer on May 14, 2015, 02:28:19 PM
Anybody using this scope? There doesn't seem to be much elevation adjustment... only 3 full turns up, and 3 down from center and it's maxed out.
Just wondering if this is normal or I got a lemon???

And if you do get three turns, best to stick with +/- 2.5 turns. Forcing that last 1/2 turn does not work so well.

If I don't have at least 1 full turn remaining before bottoming or topping out, I'll usually use a compensating mount.

I will be using a compensating mount, I just thought I remembered other scopes having a lot more adjustment than that...  more like 5-6 full turns each way before being maxed out!!  Probably just poor memory (old timers/CRS)

I have that very scope and I feel like that's just the maximum range of adjustment.

If it makes you feel any better about it it's been a very good scope for me, especially for the price. It handles my nitro-piston with no problem, holds zero, doesn't do anything funny. It's tough to beat the features of this optic for the price, even if it doesn't have the best glass.
