Title: 1077 Repeatair new in box
Post by: Privateer on May 03, 2015, 03:32:14 PM
Worth $70.00 bucks?
Wife was out doing the yard sale stuff and came across it.
I'd told her to keep an eye out for AGs so now We have one.
It came with 3 extra magazines new in the pack.
I'll mount a scope on it for Nancy to play with.

Tons of fun, especially with a scope.
I used enough CO2 to warrant buying the mega-packs from the Wall of Mart.

Well I expect this will be moved since I posted in the wrong Gate.
But I can say after blasting a few magazines down range?
I might need to get another one and bulk it.

With a good scope you will be pleasantly surprised at the AR.

You'd better load up on C02. I recently bought 2 of them and 6 extra mags. We scoped ours and blew thru 20 C02 carts and a tin of Daisy wad cutters in no time. I found a couple of the Hangy Tank adaptors at a local discount store and I gotta say. If you can get the 12gram carts at $14 for 40 it's a better deal than 2 88 gram at $10. Both our AirSource 88gram adaptors will leak off over night.

They still have the 40ct for $12

So you get 480g for $12 vs 176g for $10.

Or an even better way is a 9oz (with the AS adapter) - 255g for $2.99 at Dick's - fill 4 times and get 5th Free

So -
9oz gets you 106g per $1
12g gets you 40g per $1
AS gets you 17.6g per $1

Mine came in yesterday, got to go pick it up. Since I am in walmart, I better pick up some extra carts. Have plenty of ammo. Can't beat the price on them for sure.  :D

Surprisingly accurate with Daisy wadcutters Kris. Just don't plan on a ton of power. The Hangy Tank setup produce adiquate power but the bottom fell out quickly. The trigger mech is that of the Vigilante pistol, very mechanical but somewhat predictable.... just alot of fast paced fun. Betty Lou and I were trading shot for shot at some walmart stickers and we got to where we anticipated the other's shot and it turned into a rapid fire fest.

Thanks Avator, it's just a plinker for the backyard plus it kind of rounds out the collection I have.  My old 760 does well with the daisy wad cutters, I have plenty of those here at the house.

Guys, try the Crosman Destroyer Ex pellets from Wally. They are real accurate in my 1077 and cheap too. My friends always end up shooting the 1077 when they visit. It's fun to shoot, as you are all finding out

I also have a 1077. Does everyone know that Crosman is putting out a wood stock model again? Amazon even shows it, as does Pyramid air. Think it's about $110
