I want to buy a .20 R9 but I would like the ability to convert to .22 in the future in case pellet manufacturers decide to give up on the .20
Can a .20 rifle be converted to a .22 by installing a .22 barrel/breech block? Or should I buy a .22 rifle and have a .20 barrel/block installed? thx

I can offer you my opinion as I have 3 .20 cal. Rifles. The lack of pellet choice in .20 is a large hindrance . I stumbled on these guns used. If I were to buy new, I would forgo the .20 altogether. That being said, you can buy a barrel at any time, in any of the three calibers and simple install on to your action. I just ordered a .177 barrel for my R7. It is currently a .20

Good advice.

Thanks T,
I'd like to give the .20 a shot because I really like this caliber at this power range. All I'm hoping for is one pellet that groups well. If not, I'll just switch to a .22
