Title: Disco lost its poop...advice appreciated.
Post by: Joshua on March 21, 2015, 12:34:20 PM
Hey all I have a bit of a problem I think and I hope you guys can guide me in the right direction.

I have a disco in .22. Massaged trigger, spring adjuster, cut 5/8" off of and recrowned the barrel, bnm breech/shroud.

I just recently got a chrony...and it seems to be shooting a bit weak.  18.13g jsb pellets at 700fps at best.  Is that a bit low?  It also seems to have become pellet picky and accuracy has lost its  consistency.  The bnm stuff was the last modification.  But to be fair it was shooting 1 1/4" groups at 50yds just after the shroud install, but I have no idea how fast.

I have a few suspicions but I'd rather not mention them in order to get clean info from y'all.

I need to get my confidence back in this rifle before the upcoming turkey season.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

I suspect the BNM bolt probe. There have been reports of flow restrictions in that area. Have not heard ie they have addressed that complaint.

Has anyone figured a workaround?

Have you an LDC on it?  They rarely add to accuracy.

If properly/installed made they don't hurt it.

It may be the TP.  I have talked to others with a BNM and they took a 1/4" drill bit and opened up the transfer port in the breech and then went with the 1/4" vinyl tubing, fixed the issue.

X2 on thr transfer port. Check well for leaks with tissue test upon completion.
