Title: JSB Match DIABOLO 15.89 gr
Post by: Bicycleman on March 18, 2015, 05:33:05 PM
Pyramyd Air shipped me a tin of JSB Exact Jumbo pellets.  Nice shipping package.  There was cardboard covering the package with packing tape around the whole thing.  Very nice!

I did a roll test on the tin and found only ONE (1) pellet with a bent skirt.  Again, very nice.

We have threatening weather here now, but if the rain holds off, I will do some shooting and get back to you with results.

;D I use them in my RS II .22 and my TX200 MK III and the pellets shoot better in the RS II but not bad in the TX200 either

Don, this is the best pellets I have purchased so far.  Even the Crosman Box Domes I bought were not as near perfect.  Now, if only my Discovery likes them!

In the first picture (New Scope1), those are the last five shots.  I was rushing the shots because the rains was starting.  There are three in the center and two flyers <---my fault.

The other picture (New Scope2) shows the first five shots.  The two at the upper center circle are shots one and two.  I adjusted the scope and shot the other three at the right figure.

To wrap this up, my Discovery definitely like these JSBs.  I have a new hunting pellet.

The new scope - OH YES!  The high rings make for easier loading too.  This is going to be a better rifle for hunting.

I was wondering what is the change in FPE when changing from CPHP to the JSB 15.89 gr.  My Discovery internals are original.  I doubt that the "Rent-all" place would have  a Chrony to rent.  Hee hee

Those JSB 15.9's ( Also AA version ) are my favorite fodder for the M-rod and Rainstorm shooting Super accurate at @ 920 fps

If you don't change any thing other than pellets, the fpe would stay close to the same. If you have the same fps the JSB will have almost 2 fpe more.

Thanks Ken.  At one time in the past I had the formula to figure the FPE numbers.  Thanks again.

I used Chairgun with the two different weights and a random 700 fps.

This morning, I recovered one of these pellets from the chest cavity of a mature male Fox Squirrel.  The shot went into the head, traveled down the neck, and stopped after hitting the heart.  This pellet shows much scuffing from hitting bones and is extremely mushroomed.  I like the performance of these JSBs very much.  Saturday and yesterday, I had a problem with accuracy because I let the pressure get too low in my Discovery (almost into the Red.)  After refilling to 2K, the accuracy is back.
