Title: Aeon scope question
Post by: USA on March 17, 2015, 11:01:38 PM
I bought a used rws 350 with an Aeon 6-24X50. The scope has a small "knob" just in front of and slightly below the focus knob. What is it?

Could be a locking ring for the focus.  Just guessing.  Showing a picture might help also.

It's not a knob, notice the spanner holes in the end. Looking at my 8-32, I believe it is the nitrogen fill port, or an adjustment access port.

It is the housing for the erector tube spring much like the Cecil Tucker conversions found on older benchrest scopes.  I am sure you  mean power ring not focus ring.
