Well after things decided to defrost around here in Dallas my Benji Trail NP XL finally arrived. After a thread I read yesterday about cleaning and non cleaning I decided to take the non-clean and Texas Wing-it approach to setting this gun up. It was 30 degrees out side so i hurried home and unpacked the rifle, slapped the scope on to the rail, attached the strap and went out back. I have a steel target at about 30yards. The first brake of the rifle was definitely harder than my Quest 1000x. Loaded up the virgin CPHP. BAM 2feet high and to the right. Hit the back stop. A few clicks (2 adjustments) of the elevation and dead on to the target. Adjusted the wind-age and its now spot on. Now on the third shot. I am still amazed at the power of this thing. I can only explain it as "Fluid". After my year with the Quest this rifle is a dramatic difference. I purchased this rifle for the squirrels eating my chickens feed and the pesty birds getting into the martin house out back. Well about 30 mins later I was inside and spotted my first hunt outside. Loaded up a Predator Polymag and headed out back. He had just left the chicken coop and into the tree. He was at about 40 yards. Man someone on the forum wasn't lying about the SMACK that the polymag delivers. It delivered a dead on head shot. It was louder than the actual shot fired. This was shot number 6 out of the gun period. I was sold. After 5 CPHP and 1 Polymag this rifle had me at SMACK. I cant wait now till 500shots and the GRT-III trigger.
