This looks like a game changer. What are your thoughts. How will this technology change current airgun laws.

;D The rifles have been around for awhile now in development. IMHO I do not think they will become popular dye to complexity . They have a high cool factor but very limited in application. If I want a long range rifle I will go PB and avoid the hassles of an over sized over weight Magnum PCP

Also, filling such a small reservoir from a larger tank, unless the tank is regulated, you won't get a consistent fill from cartridge to cartridge.

It would make more sense to lock 3 -5 cartridges in a manifold, and fill them together, so they are all equally charged.

It should give you a better chance at consistency.

But I agree, cost, complexity, outweigh the cool factor..

Using such a small reservoir severely limits the power that can be produced.... but it looks cool!....

I was all in and excited about this gun, until I thought about it,....I'm not keen carrying a loaded cartrige on me, I don't trust any type of valve, I never have my PCPs (unless hunting) with a round in the chamber and uncocked

Yes to small a cylinder that makes mediocre  power at best.

I've been playing around with a variable plenum design, to keep the bulk down.
Basically two removable vertical canisters, that can lower, or increase the regulated plenum volume depending on your power goal.

i just watched the video, the inventor states it makes about 120 fpe.
seems under-powered for such a large, expensive gun. $1000 for the rifle and 2 MACs, no sights. it does come with a bipod though...
so out of the box you are re-filling every 2 shots. to get more, you are putting up at least $90 for 3 additional MACs. seems like a lot of effort and $$ for a day of shooting. it looks like it's supposed to be more of a hunting setup, but you still need to break it in and test it. and who owns an airgun that doesn't do on-going "testing". it needs to come with more MACs and maybe a multi-MAC fill station. 5 maybe?

it is cool though.

IMO there is no negative to having a greater plenum volume, other than where to put it.... If the gun (as above) is designed to have a certain maximum volume, why would you want to reduce it?....

Sorry, I guess that is off-thread....

Bob, good point.
