Title: BT65 Feeling A Little Sick
Post by: Bwalton on March 08, 2015, 09:54:03 PM
Took the BT65 out and it was not acting right at all, Did manage to add some GS to the KIA list. The next day I took it to the range here at home, they were having the club shoot. Mike from Co. was there real nice guy.. Did plan on doing the 5 shot groups @ 50 yards but the BT was ill. Took it home and took it apart and this is what I found Picture below...Has anyone else had this problem?

Is that bolt broke?  When I owned a BT65 nothing serious ever happened, the worst thing I had go wrong was the breach o-ring being blown out.  Sorry to see it's sick.

That's a bummer having to send it in for repair. Maybe they will swap it out for the BT65 Elite in .30 cal... ;)

Yep had it break on me about a year ago. I used an easy out screw extractor and had Hatsan send me another.

any idea what caused it? I could machine a stronger one, did you loose accuracy when it broke?

In my at44 long qe, that was broken out of the box. When I contacted hatsan they wanted me to send the whole gun back, I just made another & left it alone.

When I looked at that part it seems weak....that holds the brass part for the air tube and the stock mounts to it also.

I just thought about something I have an extra parts gun, going to dill it out and use the part from the other gun ;D  I am also going to machine one out at work which will be a whole lot better.

Yeah before I figured it out my groups went to *(&^. Not sure if it was overtightened or if I had bumped the stock too hard or what.

Happened to my on my AT44 however it was my fault, I tried to tighten the screw and accidentally broke the head, I removed the screw from the gun and ordered another one, however I kept shooting without the screw when I was waiting for it and accuracy was the same, I even made my best group at .03" CTC at 25 yards.

Haven't had any problem with the new screw since then.

My accuracy was horrible when it broke, I do not know when it broke. But I did know that my accuracy was not right, I thought that it was the scope then the LDC, then checked the shot string. After all that then took it apart. I have another part here so im taking it to work tomorrow and drilling it out and putting the new one in.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but thought some might be interested that B.B. is doing a review of the BT65 QE .25 cal on the Pyramidair blog.

haha, if THATS the case,.. I better go check ALL the screws and bolts on my guns !
We've got to take down MORE this season than we did last season...
...and if I remember correctly, we took about 350 off the one goat farm alone !
I think i'm going to need more pellets... and I think I'm going to need a big bore soon  ;D  ;D  ;D
