Hey guys. I was just wondering what I could do to improve my Hatsan 95 right out of the box. I just got it and would like to make some improvements that I might not be aware of. So far all I've done is clean the barrel and take off the scope it came with.

Put at least a tin of pellets through it. The most info I have found on the 95 is on this polish forum.

Hey thetroutwhisperer,
How much work are you able to do? Do you have a lathe/many hand tools?
Things I would recommend:
1) Get a Hawke or Leaper's 3x9x40 scope at a minimum.
2) Scour your bore well.
3) Replace the trigger adj. screw closest to the muzzle (Home Depot - $1.00) Get one size longer (round/polish end).
4) Shoot the gun for awhile.
5) Do a search on tuning the Hatsan 95 - there are many posts from 2012/2014.
6) Do a tune if you have the desire, tools and skills.

Clean the barrel REALLY GOOD and do only the trigger mod until warranty runs out, shoot all you can until then. Be sure to keep the factory screw in a safe place incase she needs to go back for warranty repairs, that way you can put it back in.

Hey guys thanks for the responses. I'm going to try and do as much as possible. So far I have cleaned the barrel, taken about 100 shots with it, got the iron sights dialed in, got a 3x9x40 scope by Hammers. Would have went with other suggestions but it was too late. My next plan is to replace the trigger screw as mentioned, get the scope right, keep shooting and cleaning, looking for other improvements to make. Have to work sometime though and it's quite snowy still up here!
I'm pretty mechanically inclined, even for an accountant, have a decent amount of tools, no lathe however.

Hey TTW,
We can talk more about future modifications after you get your current tweaks worked out.
By the way, what is the compensation, phase out range for a Roth IRA's in 2015?

I'll be working, and keeping you all posted. Might run down to the depot tonight and look for the adjustment screw. Appreciate the pointers.
How does a Say on Pay deal sound?
