Title: Beeman What do I have?
Post by: Oneshotwillie on March 02, 2015, 12:10:40 PM
Pictured is a Beeman Sportsman RS3 Series, That is what is written on it!  I am trying to locate a spring for it.  Anyone have a gun like it? (http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj250/Gpawslittlecars/DSCN2128.jpg) (http://s274.photobucket.com/user/Gpawslittlecars/media/DSCN2128.jpg.html)

Can someone tell me if they have one like the pic or where I might get parts?  It has written on the top Sportsman RS3 Series with Beeman tags on the side?  It's a break barrel .177  It's a good gun, just looking for a spring replacement!  Thanks

Your Beeman Sportsman RS3 stainless normally is offered in a "dual caliber" package, with a .177 barrel and a .22 barrel.  Pretty sure these are made in China.  Also known as the Beeman SS1000T.  Best advice on the spring is to measure the wire diameter and inside diameter of the one you have, count the coils, and then shop at Air Rifle Headquarters and Vortek to see if you can find something that matches the dimensions of your oem spring.

The RS series of Beeman are made in China (RS1, RS2, RS3...).  You should be able to see a serial number and other markings on the side of the breech.  Some are dual caliber and some are not.  If there is a set screw on the bottom of the breech with a Y on the breech and an arrow on the barrel, it is a dual caliber.

Springs are pretty much springs.  If you determine the diameter of the wire, the outside diameter of the spring, and the length of the spring, and the number of coils you can get a replacement.  Check with Air Rifle Headquarters or Vortek.  If the spring is not a standard one either carries I believe Vortek can set you up with one to your specs.

Thank you for the good info.  It is not dual caliber.  I contacted one site but he was not helpful at all.  We'll take measurements and do as recommended.  Thanks

It looks a lot like my Industry Brand AR1000.

I can't post links yet, so delete the stars: h**ttp://www.airrifle-china.com/products_detail/&productId=953d180e-0239-4e7e-9d37-06327e4a5e32.html

I though you could get parts through Beeman, unless you want to upgrade. Might want a seal and some lubes too.  Would be nice if you could find a Vortek kit for it.
