What is the size of the .177 breech O ring for the Challenger CH2009. The bolt slides back as much as .769 inches when fired. Got one from Crosman but did not help. Thought would get better grade and see if that works. Thanks very very much to any one that helps.

If you’ve taken the bolt out, then your problem is probably not the bolt probe o-ring.
That straight pull bolt is more trouble than it is worth (it’s the one thing about the Challenger I really think they did wrong).
It’s a complicated, counter intuitive, back-wards working system with the bolt is locked to an inner rod by two little ball bearings that slide in and out of detents. The aggravation is that if you take the bolt out, it’s very easy for the bolt to move and the little ball bearing to get lost.
So from the bolt sliding back on firing, am going to have to guess the bolt is missing those little locking ball bearings. With them in place, the bolt might move something like 1/16-1/20” of an inch (not leaking any air) just taking up the slack in the system.
Know this is not a dealer we normally post about, but at least ^&$@_=s has a picture of the parts.

No I have not removed the bolt. I use rubber band to hold shut when shooting, but that is nuisance to have to hold open when Crosman offered to have me send in but do not wish to be without it for maybe three weeks loading. I shoot every day my marauders and the challenger. When air down in tank switch to challenger.
