Title: Alternative to boring out the receiver to accept a sleeved barrel

This is what I have done, using my BNM breech.

It's very stiff now.

And it shoots nice now, 6 shots a 37yds.

Is the breech collar pressed onto the breech?.... Looks like a good design....

Bob, yes it's a tight fit, with two threaded 10-32 into the receiver to hold it in place.
I was toying with the idea of threading the whole thing so I could screw it onto the BNM. Maybe when I get good at the lathe thing:-)

A tight fit, the shoulder it sits against, and the 2 screws, should do the trick....

Took another picture of the inner collar, that sits tight around the cf portion of the sleeved barrel. The outer cf is the shroud, if it wasn't obvious:-)
