Sorry can't help you but I'd suggest searching the talon airgun forum. That forum has probably everything you need to know about the AF platform.

Btw, I don't recommend at all, but I took out the safety completely out of my gen 4 as well as the little part that causes the automatic safety when cocking to enable decocking of the gun.

I just don't trust the safety on these guns plus I'm a much better safety than a flimsy part. I think decocking the gun is a more safe solution than using any safety on any airgun.

Yeah... Lol. As it is now, unfortunately, the talon forum isn't very active.. Kinda.. Just kinda full of gibberish posts these days. Like stupid jokes and awful puns and just stuff that's totally off topic to the original posts. Not all of it though.

You may get one or two posts addressing your issue.

But it has a ton of information though if searched thoroughly.

;D Additional food for thought , the Edge has no functioning safety other than a detent slot in the receiver I had an older  Condor that I sold to Booger and ended up re installing the safety after working the trigger over and it was one of the reasons I sold the rifle the safety is annoying and with the single shot factor I think is there solely for legal reasons since just leaving the rifle breech open works as well

Yep. A lot safer than any safety out there is just decocking the gun if you aren't taking the shot ;D

Put up with the safety for years. Mods helped.
Ended up just removing the safety.  Urge strikes me, could put it back in...so far, that urge hasn't struck me.

left the safety itself in mine,

but took out the little dogleg that puts the safe on when you cock the gun and wont let you decock.

Correcting my poor judgement will be easy the trigger assembly is simple to take apart

I cleaned and smoothed the trigger just couldn't get the safety to work better even with Ultymox #226

I am weird. I like my guns to have safeties. The main reason I like safeties is teaching my son to shoot. I am not big on safety glasses but I will step up on that.

Just like I should be on helmets. :)
