Since there has been much discussion of the galling issues with the HW50s Cocking linkage, I thought it would be interesting to show my brand new HW50s I just received from PA. I have already posted my thoughts and some photos of the rifle, and a request for pics of the new style linkage was noted.
I was expecting to have to put an insert into the linkage, but thought it was within my capabilities, so wanting a rifle of this size/power/weight, I went ahead and ordered the new 50s. To my pleasant surprise, when I first shot the rifle, I did not note any grittiness or such in the cocking stroke. I had to see if galling was to be an issue as many posts have indicated.
When I removed the rifle from the stock, I found Weihrauch has addressed the problem with what I feel will be a perfect solution to the problem. They have installed a nearly full length strip of some nylon or delrin material into the cocking link where it can contact the compression tube. It was nicely lubed and is very, very smooth. I see no possibility of galling or other wear on the compression tube or linkage. Good work Weihrauch!!
As promised, here are a couple photos of the new style cocking mechanism:

As you can see, this should completely alleviate the problem.
Thanks for looking and hope it was helpful.

That little bit goes a long way---great news!! I guess they are listening over here.

Thanks guys. I can't tell you how pleased I am that they made this revision to their manufacturing process. I only hope they incorporate the same idea into the R7/HW30s. Of course I have already put an insert into my HW30s, but it would be a great help to others.
So far, both rifles have been great.
