Title: Level for cant errors
Post by: blackdiesel on February 08, 2015, 02:23:58 PM
At this time I have a level that attaches to the scope and it works good but the level is on top of the scope so I find myself having to look over the scope to make sure I'm level.  It is no problem if I'm shooting at a decline or level but kind of hard for shooting incline.  I found this on Ebay and ordered a couple for my Hatsans since they have the Weaver rails.

the only thing I dont like about this mount is the single point for tension on the scope. I have used rings in the past that had only side for tightening the ring around the scope and they always seem to pinch the tube and cause deformation. This one may be different but I never have liked that after that experience. Let us know how this performs maybe it is different.

I will be using the rubber insets since I have a 1" tube so no chance of it getting tight enough to bend the tube.

Well I received this mount today and there are a couple problems.  I can't use it on my Hatsans because it does not line up with the grooves on the scope rail and I can't use it on my Sumatras because it's too long for the scope rail.  It fits my Career Ultra with an adapter for 11mm rails so that's the gun I mounted it on.  It's raining and with ice mix here so I won't get out to zero it until Friday.
