Title: LOL.....trigger from BAM B26 fits the Remington Express trigger housing!
Post by: nced on February 07, 2015, 10:33:31 PM
Just for grinns I removed the trigger blade from a BAM B25 trigger block and compared it to the Remington Express trigger blade. Here are a few pics........

As you can see, the trigger from a BAM B26 trigger block was ground at the factory to move the "2nd stage hump" closer to the pivot pin for a greater mechanical advantage. Here is a pic of the B26 trigger blade in the Remmy trigger housing......

I checked the trigger pull of the un-worked factory BAM trigger and it is indeed crisper and lighter than the unworked Remmy trigger and I think that I'll need to re-adjust the trigger pull screw!

Point being.....if the BAM B26 trigger blades are available they would be good for a no hassle Remmy trigger blade replacement!

They do swap, I buggered an original trigger and needed a different one and did the same thing...will try the trigger from a B-40 and see it that works also as I do have a spare one someplace...

Darn the B-40 trigger doesn't fit, would have been nice with the adjustment screws already in place

Well the B26 trigger I got from Mike sure makes the Remmy trigger sweet, but I must say It does NOT compare to the Rekord trigger on the R7 (Santa Rosa) that I just picked up.

Edit - after examining the Rekord trigger and comparing it to the Remmy "side by side" I now have the Remmy trigger adjusted almost as nice as the R7. Had to do just a bit of dremel work inside the housing.

Care to explain what was needed with your Dremel ? Maybe a picture of the finished trigger if possible ?

The angle of the B26 trigger is such that it does not go forward as far as the Remmy trigger. Thus I had almost ZERO 1st stage. On the Rekord trigger there is a metal "tab" that you bend forward to add 1st stage, or rearward to make the 1st stage shorter.
With the Remmy the trigger housing is just straight across. I took my dremel and "filed" down the front edge so that the trigger blade can do forward just a bit further adding some 1st stage.

If you look at Ed's picture you can see how the B26 forward edge comes straight down from the pivot hole. Then look at the Remmy trigger and see how it looks swept back? I could have filed down the front edge of the B26 trigger from the bottom where the curve starts and "angle" it towards the pivot hole, but figured the soft metal of the housing would be easier to remove.

Once inside the housing the trigger "looks" nearly identical, but the bottom point is ever so slightly farther forward.

Hi Ed.  Image seeing you on another airgun forum (LOL).  As B26 trigger blades are not easy to come by, has someone come up with way to mod the Remmy trigger to improve it?   Not apposed to working it over with a file if needed.  I absolutely love the trigger on my B26 and would like to make the Remmy trigger as good.  Does anyone make an aftermarket trigger for the Remmy?

Why not call Mike and ask if he will sell you one?
He still sells the B26.

That's where I got mine last year.
