I have a Beeman R9 that I picked up at Christmas time to keep up my shooting skills during the winter. It shot OK out of the box but had a nasty "buzzy", "twangy" feel every time I pulled the trigger. I ran about 400 pellets through the rifle and it never really improved that much. I have a 10 meter range in my cellar and the rifle did OK accuracy wise but wasn't quite up to the standard of an Air Arms Prosport that I also own .. On the forum here I noticed that member and airgunsmith "Shootist" (Lee Haire) lived not that far from me here in Massachusetts. Lee and I swapped a few Emails and I wound up meeting Lee, giving him the rifle, and having him install a Macarri kit and do some trigger work.
I got the rifle back about 2 weeks later .. No more buzz .. No more twang .. Just a nice "thunk" when you pulled the trigger. I also noticed an increase in accuracy. On my 10 meter range nearly every 5 shot group was now under .200 inch CTC and the ones that were not I could attribute to a problem with the "rear nut" (me) making a hold error .. Kudos to "Shootist" (Lee Haire) for working his magic on my R9 ...

Ha! Welcome to the Lee Haire fan club. I had Lee work on my R9 and he transformed a good gun into a great gun. Plus I made a new friend to boot!
I like that stock.

I've read nothing but high praise for Mr. Haire's tuning ability.
And I also like that stock...didn't know that's what the new R9 stocks looked like on the left side. Very handsome.

Double what Dave said!
Lee turned my good Diana 34 into an excellent air gun. The new and improved trigger, sound, cocking and recoil are awesome. About the only things he did not improve on was the length and weight.
He is now working his magic on my HW50S and I expect to see that jewel in the not too distant future.

I first met Lee several years ago during the filming of an episode for "The American AirGunner" that we were both in. I was immediately impressed with his love for air guns and his skill and knowledge when it came to working on them. I also was very impressed with Lee as a person and Lee and I have been friends ever since that day. I'm really glad to see that word is spreading regarding Lee's airgun tuning and repair services/abilities. :)

I have spoken to Lee a few times, he is a very good person that I would like to meet someday. One can never have too many friends.
