Title: Front sight for R 7 ?

I have taken the iron sights off my R1 and put the rear sight on my R 7, no problem.  But the front sight is railed and not dove tail like the barrel of my R7.  Does anyone know where I can get a front sight for the R 7 and if it will work with the rear I've installed from the R1?  Or perhaps you can suggest a better set up.

Carefully measure the dovetail. Then check with Brownells, midwayusa or marbles.and even williams sight. There are many front sights available in just about any style you want.

I was looking at the Lyman mod 17 aue.  It is cut for European 9mm dovetail but seems a bit short.  I was hoping there might be a source for an original front sight for this older Santa Rosa r7.
This is the Lyman sight.
