Has anybody sent off there pcp to Hatsan USA to have a shroud installed? I was wondering how long It took before you got it back , and did it make a big difference?
Thanks..

Iirc the QE is simply a silencer screwed onto barrel.
A shroud would require a spacer for the receiver and longer tp and cocking bolt. Barrel band swap as well.
Just my line of thinking.....

GTA members have done it before but I am not positive how. Either Hatsan sells the QE barrels and mails it for you to install or you mail your barrel first. Someone that knows will comment.

Hey Joncooper,
I did not chime in earlier because I thought Blackdiesel would post, since he's already been through the process. Maybe he will soon, but I think it took a couple of weeks between mailing/receiving the final product from Hatsan USA.
If you search, Rick Eutsler did a short video explaining how the QE works and is dissembled.
- The entire barrel is shrouded with a 1 piece tube, the larger section covering 2 to 4 baffles/material of LDC portion.
- They use a metal ring (stud) around the original barrel which the shroud fits over and is stabilized by.
- To remove the QE/shroud, unscrew endcap on QE and pull out LDC components. There is a nut which can then be removed, loosening the shroud.
Pretty simple idea, which is good. Watch the video, I'm sure I forgot something.

I had my 22 cal long converted to QE and it was at HatsanUSA a grand total of 3 business days.

That's a pretty quick turn around , I checked out Hatsan usa web site but couldn't find any info on QE conversion I couldn't find a phone # either . I sent them an email so hopefully they will respond pretty quick .

My .25 made it back in eight or nine days.
FEDEX both ways..

As a owner of a At44 QE and a AT44 non we. I.am finding I shoot the QE more often. What kind of price does the QE conversion run
-
$99.00, you pay for shipping to Hatsan and they include return shipping in their price. It's less than buying a screw on LDC from one of the makers.
-
you know i could it do the same to my at44 long converted it to QE this what i did to mine i took the barrel off took it to machine shop to a friend of mine machined two inches of the end of the barrel to disco specs and put a disco muzzle brake from tko22. i made the rifle shorter, is super quiet shooting 930 fps 40 shot per fill, accurate i love it. ;D

anyway have you guys ever tried the crosman destroyer .22 i ordered them already they look to me like they would be the best pellets for hunting but i don't really hear much about them from other air gunners so i will try them and keep you guys posted.

I've shot 25 cal benjamin destroyers and wasn't impressed with their accuracy in any gun. I had a BT65 and have tried them in my AT44 and Sumatra and they are not as accurate as dome pellets. They're not terrible but past about 30 yards the groups start widening.
