I've been wanting an older metal 880 for a while. Came across this one yesterday for $25 bucks. I oiled the seal and it shoots pretty good. Looking forward to tinkering with this one. Thanks for the look.

cool beans ! I'd like to find a metal receiver. the older plastic ones are a darn sight better than the new ones, but, I still prefer the metal.

I honestly prefer the newer plastic over the older plastic. The newer ones have an improved reciever/ stock mount with 4 extra screws to hold the stock tight. The only things I like better in the old plastic ones, the USA 1995/6 ones is the already flat piston top and the metal trigger. But the new all plastic ones, to me anyway are a sturdier weapon overall.
I mean, I like them all, but find the new all plastic ones with the improvements just better built.
I have yet to find a metal receiver 880 in my area. Hardly any used air rifles around here at all.

Thanks guy's.... I've found a new place to look for air guns. We have around here what are called peddlers malls. There old buildings where people/vendors rent and set up booths. I came across this one in there. I also seen a Daisy 881, but the guy wanted $89.00 for it. ??? They also had a old Ben Franklin pumper for $175.00 I also found a Cometa and a couple old China Springers. A few pistols and want nots for airguns. I you have a place like this in your area.... There just might be a hidden treasure in there some where. You just have to look around a bit. It was fun.

At the local indoor flea market there is a peddler that does AirGuns in the summer (he disappears in the winter).
