Title: Complete List of Daisy pumpers?
Post by: DavidS on January 22, 2015, 11:35:13 PM
I am attempting to compile information on every Multi Pump and Single Pump Rifle made by Daisy.

As some have noticed, i got addicted to Daisy Multi Pump AirRifles a while ago.    Though my knowledge of the Daisy Pumpers is limited to the 35, 840, 880, 881, 901, 22X, 22SG, 177X, 990, 953, 853, and 822.

So I am looking for information about every Daisy Pumper ever made.    I would like to find out about any that I do not know about, as well as more information on the ones that I do know about, including different variants.

Those that I know the most about are the 880, 881, 901, 22X, 22SG, and 177X.   The others i have minimal to midrange knowledge about.

I thank you for any input that may be provided.   I am attempting to get a very complete picture of the Daisy pumpers.

You forgot the Powerline 856. I am having trouble finding exact production dates. There are 3 versions of it, and I have the later, close to end of run version that is a pellet only rifle. Internally it is sorta a cross between a 35 and an 880, but the trigger setup is a bit different. Pump arm and barrel shroud/ pump housing one piece similar to the 35 set up. Interesting, out of production for 10 years weapon. I bought mine new and should really tear it down and rebuild it. Going to have to wing the rebuild. No parts from Daisy. But then o rings are o rings.

I'll get up a few pics of it later today

David, this post stirred some thoughts. Dangerous, I know. LOL
I would suggest you make a phone call. The curator of the Daisy Museum is Orin Ribar. If he isn't TOO busy, you will find yourself talking to an encyclopedia of Daisy history. And what a pleasure to speak with!!! He was a great help when I started a restoration project of a Sears "Yellow Boy" 1894 airgun a while back. Give him a call, you will enjoy the conversation if you can catch him at a not too busy time. I can pm you the phone number.

Thank you.    I gave them a call.   Orin Ribar no longer works at the museum.   Though the lady that I spoke with is sending me information on all of the Daisy Pneumatics by E-Mail.

Thank you for pointing me in that direction.

Wow...hate to hear that. Because of the wealth of history Orin took with him when he left. I guess everybody has to retire sooner or later. :(
Good deal David that you were still able to hook up with someone at the museum to get the pumper info!!!
Keep us informed.

Ok the 822 is the same as an 880 from the same time perion, just with out support for BB's and the 822 is .22 cal.

The 922 is an 822 with a 5 shot pellet clip.

The 920 is a 922 with wood stocks (back when all the 880's had metal receivers).

The 22X is essentially a single shot 920 with the new style valve and pump tube.

The 22SG is a 22X, with a little extra headspace intentionally added to limit power.

I believe that this is a correct view of the .22 cal Daisy Multi Pumps.    At least that is what I am able to piece together.     This means that a modern 822 would be identical to the modern 880, just in .22 cal.

Nice rifle.    How does she shoot?

She shoots pretty nice. Way back when I 1st bought it in 2000 or so, I shot it a lot. Does not have the power of an 880. But I am sure i can fix that  ;) . I need to tear it down at some point and put some new o rings in it, and see what power mods I can do to beef up the power. It needs a reseal. I just isn't as consistent as she used to be.
