Title: Ole Faithful
Post by: stonykill on January 22, 2015, 10:43:12 PM
I just got done filling a piston and putting modded a hammer in a new valve body/barrel assembly for Ole Faithful. My 2013 880. The one that got me hooked on Daisy's.

   Ole Faithful stays a .177.

Some time over the next few day's I'll swap the parts out. Then resight her in.

Like with me.  I will always keep my first 880 as a .177, and maintain the mods that I have done as well as maintain the rifle overall.   the one that got me hooked on Daisy's.

Have fun.

Well I put worked on Ole Faithful tonight. I decided to not swap out valve body/barrels. Then it wouldn't be Ole Faithful, but a different 880 in Ole's clothing  ;) . So I took Ole apart and swapped out some parts. Pictured are the modded hammer, an older trigger ( the casting on the older triggers just looks nicer) and an old flat top 880 piston with new oring and wiper.

All back together and the hammer and piston I removed currently have JB weld drying on them  :D  . For the next build.

I'll re sight her in in the am and see what I think.
