Title: What kind of air rifle is this?
Post by: jaed.43725 on January 18, 2015, 12:19:12 AM
I was at a gun shop/pawn shop and they had some air rifles made in China for $50. So I snapped some pics of the interesting one. Maybe someone here has some info on it. What I can tell is that its an under lever style.

I'm sure someone knows what it is? Flying Dragons is the place to look if you want a Chinese air gun. My advise is to stay away from the vintage or used Chinese air guns. They don't have much value up front and don't retain any value on the back.

DIRT CHEAP and that's all there is to it.

Industry brand QB36-1 (http://www.airrifle-china.com/products_detail/&productId=5a57355e-bbd2-44ef-835a-628f8469eab6.html)  I've never had one so I am not sure what the value would be.

I was just more curious as to what it was because of the under-lever. I have no plans on actually getting one because I can almost guarantee its junk.

It's an Industry Brand B3-3. The QB 36 has a trigger safety lever in front of the trigger and the front sight assembaly is metal. Your picture show no safety and the front sight/cocking lever "holder" is plastic and in your bottom picture is the I.B. emblem behind the breach. The stock looks pretty good on that one. I didn't already have two I'd pay what's on the sticker $49.95. Got both of mine a pawn shops($20-30) and the front sight was broke on both. On one I replaced it with a Qb36 front sight which doesn't fit. Had to drill and file and spray paint it with P/U bed liner and replaced the broke rear sight with one for a Gamo Silent Cat. I refinished the stock with a much light color. The stocks have a nice shape and feel good when shouldered. Barrel, lever and receiver where rusted and pitted. Sprayed that also with bed liner after I taped over the I.B. stamp and serial # Put a CP 4x32 scope on over seethru mounts. Got a rubber ventilated recoil pad for a 2078A on the back end. Shoots ok. Likes RWS hobby 7grs. Avg. About 535fps.

Re-did the other the same except removed the sights. Mounted a Winchester 2-7x32AO scope. On the front I used a B3 barrel clip, 3/8", 4" long piece of rubber tube over the end of the cocking lever for a handle and put a big Gamo muzzle break on it. Shoots the RWS Hobbies about 620fps and loves
Stoeger X-Match W/C 8.18 grs. 580fps. Later,Tim.
