Title: Scope for a Daisy 853
Post by: Yarp on January 16, 2015, 11:56:49 PM
My experienced eyes have a hard time finding points of aim through the aperture sights on my Daisy 852 rifles. This is especially true for lower light/indoor shooting. Suggestions for decent quality scopes will be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

David

A bug buster, good glass, it's small, the adjustable Objective focuses down to 9 FEET, sweet scope, and if you stretch ithe distances out, it has mildots to help with the hold over.

It's what I use on mine.

That's the UTG 3-9x32 Bugbuster?
Looks good.
Under a hundred bucks.
Excellent eye relief.
14oz.
Too bad about the provided rings.
Thanks.

Whatever you end up with had best be a short focusing distance AO.....just sayin'.

The 3-9 is good, but look into the 6x model too.

Both focus down to 9 feet, if you get the non illuminated model it is lighter.

If weight is an issue.

Thanks for the advice.
I couldn't find another sub $250.00 compact variable power scope with close focus, nor could I find a 3-9x32 bug buster without illumination so I picked up the AO/RGB version. With luck it will arrive early enough for playtime Monday. I'm guessing that the low 1" 11mm dovetail rings in my parts drawer will do the job.
Thanks again.

Thinking of a $250 scope on a $120 gun brings back an old cowboy song about a $10 horse and a $50 saddle.   Kidding aside, the 953 makes most scopes look good.
