I have a Leapers 3-9X32AO mil dot that hasn't died....... yet. So, how much do I have to spend, (or how little can I get away with) and get a scope that will survive a spring piston/ gas piston 800fps .22 caliber rifle? I bought a Centerpoint at Walmart 2 weeks ago and put it on a new BSA GRT Supersport and the scope is toast. Suggestions are much appreciated.

Get a Hawke. Lifetime guarantee and my favorite is 8-32X56. :)

Sounds like luck of the draw killed you with Centerpoint. I have three of them on my guns, one on my Umarex Octane (.25 conversion) for almost two years now and they have held up fine with no issues at all. Nice thing about Wally World, if it breaks take it back and get another one.

I have Leapers UTG scopes on most of my rifles, including the magnums. No issues yet (knock on wood).
Cost $90 ~ 125 each depending on model. I have a couple Hawke Sports as backups; cost a little bit higher.

Ive had Centerpoints, Leapers, and Hawke scopes fail on my spring air rifles. To me thats the only down side of shooting a spring air rifled.

I have only had 2 Hawkes fail, they were the cheap ones. I have had 4 CPs fail. Hawke makes it right. :)

Any Leapers TS scopes work well on springers, I have this on my TX200 https://www.pyramydair.com/product/leapers-utg-4-16x44-ao-accushot-swat-rifle-scope-ez-tap-illuminated?a=5191 (https://www.pyramydair.com/product/leapers-utg-4-16x44-ao-accushot-swat-rifle-scope-ez-tap-illuminated?a=5191) had It on my Hatsan 125 sniper before that and still going strong .
don't forget the 10% discount ;)

Change the seals in your gun. This will help your scope to survive.

I just had my second scope failure , my Hawke Eclipse 30 has been on 3 springers and it just went south on my new to me RX2 .20 which is a 20 fpe gas spring rifle. I am not sure if My TX200 started the failure and the RX2 just finished it off, in any event it is on the way to Hawke as we speak

Your TX200 did not do it. :) The TX is smooth out of the box.

;D Well maybe the D460 that is also a hammer all I know is I am now using my Back up Walmart Center Point 4x16x40 the good news is the groups on the RX2 are beginning to tighten up considerably so that part has me grinning and I should have the warranty scope late next week or early the following week. No harm no foul ;D ;D ;D ;D Once I re mount the Hawke I will try to stretch her out to 25 yards unless we get a mild 45* day then I will go the the Pellet rifle range with my brother , our sons and couple friends

That's a scope killer! Tough combination, or just unlucky?

Recently, and regarding my 350, I've received some good information from the Hawke customer service. Mono-tube, glass etched reticle and erector tube with a coil spring (instead leaf spring).
At the Hawke website you may search for 'coil spring' and you'll see the models that match these 3 features.
Due some Brazilian circumstances regarding scopes, I've decided to import (Germany) a Diana Bullseye ZR mount and choose a scope "as I had a PCP". Maybe just a dream, but I'll pay to see.

Seems Hawke Warranty Service comes with "job security". ::) Sent back my second AirmaxEV for replacement.

I have a dead Hawke, I do not know how old it is or even remember who I got it from. It will be going back soon. :)

I've killed 2 Gamo scopes and 2 leapers scopes. I received the suggestion to add an anti droop rail to keep the scope closer to its center of adjustment.

Get a pcp. Problem solved. Seriously, the scopes you have killed are pretty poorly built. I tried two top line leapers and they were not good. Go Hawke.
