;D ;D ;D ;D Well the rifle is un-boxed and is everything it was promised to be. The laminated stock is clean and unmarked did I mention very nice looking, not walnut tiger stripe but pretty all the same. Installed the droop mount, rings and Hawke eclipse scope. zeroed in 9 shots ( :-[ put the drop mount on backwards)
Cocking is on par with my Diana 460  I would gestimate at about 35 lbs or so, not really terrible if a frail old man like me can do it one handed how hard can it really be? Power is yet to be determined I will chrony some pellets shortly for now I just wanted to go on record as saying if a powerful break barrel is desired the RX2 may just do it for you

What kinda rifle is this? Who made it?
Title: Re: RX2 Part 2
Post by: Sfttailrdr46 on January 13, 2015, 11:44:13 PM
:D The rifle is a Beeman RX2  .20 caliber. The Beeman is manufactured by Wierauch and is equivalent to the HW90 they are both Gas spring break barrel rifles.

Congrats Don!! And finally the wait is over. Looking forward to hearing your initial thoughts on your new RX.  If memory serves me, when I had mine .20 set up to the 22/23'ish bar pressure, I had very good results with the kodiak pellets. I even got fairly good sub 25 yard results with the Cro-man pellets. For now, I am really excited for you when you take her outside and view that gorgeous laminate stock under blue sky's and pure sun light. You will know exactly what I mean when you do. Now I'm starting to miss my old .22. Yes the way the light refracts through that stock finish is just one aspect that you will enjoy As a proud  owner of an RX. The rest is pretty much a normal "wow" reaction typical of these rifles. You are in for a real treat. I am thrilled for you!!

;) tjk the fit and finish is off the charts The Gamo whisper that I gifted to my father in law was rough compared to my D34P and now the RX2 is head and shoulders above the D34 . As smooth and tight as the D34 is compared to the Gamo I have to say that is the comparison of the D34 to the RX2 the cocking is silky smooth the force required is on par with m D460 but it feels lighter than it actually is because the action is that precise. I will try to run a few hundred more pellets through her then clean the barrel and do some 10 shot strings over the chrony. Right now she is still dieseling so I want to let her settle in a little more then see what is what for the best accuracy Thanks for the best wishes   Don

As much as I mess with you, I am happy for you. I really think I might get one in April or May, but if I put my nose to the grind stone it might be earlier. Then again I might need new glass. LOL

;D Jesse, As much as I enjoy the PCP rifles I still like shooting the spring guns there is just something very satisfying about hitting what you aim at with a rifle that can give an experienced shooter fits  ;D Especially when they thing they are awesome shots. I have done that in the past when someone is shooting a rifle and missing everything but the ground . I did that at a range in Danbury CT years ago I was shooting my M1A1 Garrand off hand at bowling pins approx 55 yards. there was a yahoo with this really cool Egyptian semi auto rifle in some 7mm cartridge that was shooting off the bench and missing  mostlyI was getting ready to leave and he brought his gear to my spot which was in the shade. I asked to see his rifle and offered to let him shoot a few clips through the Garrand. Long story longer he was jerking the trigger and his whole technique was abysmal. made some adjustments to his style and he hit 5 out of 8 bowling pins. Then I took 3 practice shots and six more shots for six hits It is all about the challenge when it gets easy it becomes routine and then boring . thats why I like to switch it up all the time when I shoot ;D

That is why I usually shoot 6 different guns within 3 hours. :) I like to shoot something different. I really love all my guns, and if I don't I trade or sell them. :)

;) At this point I have completed my springer collection and now I have to save for the RAW HM1000X .357 to complete my PCP collection

:o Right now once I re zero for the lighter pellet the Beeman FTS may have the edge but I only took 6 shots using mildot for hold under and windage to correct aim point this morning before I left for work  ::) but the lighter pellet may be the better for 25 to 35 yards.

Joe we think alike when it comes to Jesse. I had 4 of the 6 above. Wild man is very close to insane so its 5. Didnt remember him wanting to shoot a grape at 32 yards off his loves head! But now that you mentioned it I do remember. Insane because Jesse would've taken the shot if she put a grape on her head at 32 yards.. Boy am I laughing.

Please dampa mount.......do the trick!

If you are not plan to hunt or you don't need full power, I can recommend you to lower the pressure of the ram to about 18 bar. This is results in a very smooth shooter that will leave tuned airguns into her shadow...

Buy a mountainbike vorks pump to increase the pressure again if needed.

HW90 - such a versatile airgun !
