Title: Umarex NXG APX teardown and photo

IMO this rifles design is better than the Daisy 22SG or the 880's I've owned in that the trigger and hammer have separate springs, so should be able to improve.

Now that's interesting. This is the first newly designed pumper that's come out in awhile. I wish they had a more classic look to them but I doubt that'll happen as all of Umarex branded offerings tend to be tactifuturistic looking.

Did you have to drill the pivot pin out in the pump arm? And if so, how do you plan on replacing it? And thank you for sharing this. I was waiting for someone to do it.

I left the pump in the compression tube, If I end up doing any mods to the piston head I'll remove the pin. it looks like one end can be cleaned up and pressed out. Had a brain fart putting the gun back together last night,  applied pressure to the pellet tray when installing the valve/barrel and cracked it. did a quick fix for now. plan on converting the rifle to pellet only, and will be modding the tray and probe anyway.

I like the gun, I like the stock, I like the performance for a $50 gun. The trigger don't bother me and the auto safety don't bother me. Some of my better break barrels have auto saftey. I actually look at it as a feature. I think, unless you find something significant to make it worth the effort, I'm gonna leave mine alone. I did apply my homemade peep sight. I'll save that for another thread as I am going to make that design available to those interested. Again... thanks for sharing.. looking forward to more.
